today i got a flat tire...and was well on my way to changing it on my own (thank goodness the car had all the necessary equipment) when a nice gentleman pulled over and offered to help. ah chivalry. i was a little disappointed that i didn't get to complete it by myself but i was willing to relinquish the sense of pride and accomplishment to the man who took an hour off the job by doing it for me. sweet. so task for tomorrow, buy new tires.

i began training today to be an acupuncture assistant. i get to pull out the needles. the hardest part of this is making sure i get them all. that would be awkward, a patient walking out with a bunch of needles sticking out of their head. but i am stoked. today i just practiced walking and talking quietly, as to not disturb the aura. and whatnot.

but yeah. i am excited about that.

i have found that i have been inexplicably happy every now and then, which is astonishing! but where in the past five months i would slip on ice and break down into hysterical tears, i can now get a flat tire and still be chipper and actually laughing.

Dude that's awesome. That's like the best receptionist/admin job ever. You get to pull out needles. I just get to answer phones.

Christa! glad to hear things are going better :) An acupuncture assistant, huh? Neat! Way to support all the complementary and alternative therapies out there. Sounds like fun. When are you going to be in NC again?
